Ukrainian underground attracts tourists
Soledar city in Donetsk region gains its popularity outside Ukraine. Here operates an unusual museum, located on a former salt mine. At a depth of almost 300 meters underground you can walk down the ancient sea, that covered part of the territory of Ukraine, Russia and Eastern Europe millions of years ago.
Museum makes 41 rooms on three floors. On the ground floor is a Health Center "Salt Symphony", where you can get rid of respiratory diseases. Centre staff say, that the microclimate of salt mines can cure asthma. On the second floor there is a church, completely carved in salt deposits. The third floor is allocated for an interactive exposure. Museum repeatedly got into the Guinness Book of Records. In particular, an underground symphony concert was held here. Unusual museum has many interesting facts, that may surprise the most demanding tourists.
