Ice cream museum will be opened in Sevastopol
Sevastopol is getting ready for opening of a unique ice cream museum. New items are constantly being added to the collection. At the moment the museum already has half of the needed exhibits, which was stated by Nikolai Pomogalov, the founder of the museum.
Exhibitions already include containers that were used to store ice cream in the 1950s-1970s, a freezer, a portable refrigerator from 1978, and barrels for storing ice cream and popsicles from the USA. Recently a new item was added to the collection: a bag that was used to carry ice cream at the 1980 Olympics. Currently the founders are looking for a 1939 German storage box. Museum employees urge citizens to bring any items that have anything to do with ice cream to the museum.
The ice cream museum is expected to be opened in June of 2013 in the Southern residency of the most famous New Year character, Santa Claus.
